What is Biblical Counseling?

Noutheteo (pronounced new-tha-teh-o) is a Greek word that means "to admonish," "to warn," or "to exhort". Biblical (or Nouthetic) counseling offers a distinct and simple approach to addressing life's challenges by grounding its principles in Scripture and the transformative power of Jesus Christ. It emphasizes the sufficiency and power of God's Word, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the importance of personal responsibility. By focusing on internal change, nouthetic counseling seeks to get to the heart of things to bring about lasting transformation that impacts all areas of life.

What Should I Expect?

From me, you will get a listening ear, empathy, and counsel based on scripture. However, with biblical counseling, you will get out of this what you put into it. So you will be required to do weekly homework (usually 5-20 minutes a day) and weekly attendance to a good bible believing church is strongly encouraged (I am happy to assist in finding you a church in your area).
